Death
Posted On 07/04/2010 17:31:25 by PsychicEnergy
I've been thinking a lot about death lately and I've come to the conclusion that it is a human invention.  Yes, living beings pass away and cease to live, but this doesn't mean that they die.  To die is to imply that they are completely gone, and like Shakespeare's poem Sonnet #18, I believe that if you keep your loved ones in your heart, than they aren't really dead.  They are the spirits around you, that accompany you through every day, whether you know it or not.  I don't... Six Feet Under

They say the sun will shine again,
And that I will be pierced by it's light.
They say that my heart will mend,
And not to give up this fight.

They say a lot of things to me,
As if anyone really knew,
As if they could see through my eyes,
And know what I go through.

My Requiem
Posted On 06/30/2010 22:57:25 by PsychicEnergy

An ongoing dream, and a new requiem.

This is my line, this is the en... Read More

Death Is Not the Way I held the knife so close to my heart.

Didn't realize what I had done, what I had tried.
Tears mixed with blood, falling slowly to the ground.
Covered in blood, pulled myself up, in tears scribed:

"To those who don't care, to those who can't see,
Never Give up always thrive to be free."
Didn't know how many people would later cry.
"Tried to be free, yet I see this isn't the way."

Friend at the door ra... Read More

The Healing Power of Death
Posted On 08/06/2009 08:47:44 by SnoMan
This obviously isn't my work(as it's credited), but I thought you may find it an enjoyable read.   The Healing Power of death
By Philip Bethge
Were Europeans once cannibals? Research shows that up until the end of the 18th century, medicine routinely included stomach-churning ingredients like human flesh and blood.

According to the recipe, the meat was to be cut into small pieces or slices, sprinkled with "myrrh and at least a little bit of aloe"... Read More
