RE/Search series edited by V. Vale and Andrea Juno has been my favorite for a couple of decades now. The Industrial Culture Handbook expanded my ideas of what art could be and accomplish. Come, come, whoever you are.
Wanderer, idolater, worshipper of fire,
Come even though you have broken your vows a hundred times,
Come, and come yet again,
Ours is not a caravan of despair…

-Rumi

I am one of the founding members of two organizations: the first temple of the Moorish Orthodox Church of America in Texas (I hold the distinction of being "Arch Mullah of the Lone Star State" for this venerable religion), the Khalwat-i-Khidr; and the Hot Tub Mystery Religion. In 1997, I traveled to Amsterdam with associates to address the CESNUR conference on new religions on behalf of the Hot Tub Mystery Religion. I am radically ecumenical with interests in Sufism, Pagan folk festivals, Tantra, Hermetism, Taoism, psychedelic movements, mad science, pranks, DIY culture and ritual/ experimental music. My father's tales of the South Pacific gave me Utopian fever at an early age. I am a Master Mason. I wrote the concluding essay, on Dionysos, in the collection Three Myths of Gods, Devils & Beasts published by Pentaradial Press. My writing has appeared in Crash Collusion, The Moorish Science Monitor, Bust Down the Doors and Eat All the Chickens, etc. I edited two 'zines in the 1990s: The Eulessynian Hot Tub Mystery Religion and Macumba!

Soaking with friends, Experimentation, Entheogens, Radical Tolerance, Weird Music, Communal Camp-outs/ Burns, Rare Books, Eccentrics, Freak-outs, Sacred Monkeys. My favorite friends are those from whom I learn interesting, useful information and those who make me laugh uncontrollably.

Dogma, Extremism, Passive Living, Insularity, Dan Brown.

I'm finally getting around to adding the Hot Tub Mystery Religion to my directory --is there a web page to point to or a logo I should use?

Thanks for the link. I hope you got the chance to look at the rest of the site, in addition to the Alternative Religions Directory.

Very cool. I actually recently read some stuff on the Moorish Orthodox Church of America and was looking for info on the Hot Tub Mysteries. I was adding info to my web site on alternative religions. Take a peek here: http://www.owlspiritsnest.com/altreldir.html. Please feel free to give me any corrections to what I have. And if you have a good link to info on the Hot Tub Mystery Religion, I'd be interested in seeing it and adding to my list, if you don't mind.
